New for 2019, Bauer Goalie has released their next iteration in the Vapor stick line with the Bauer Vapor 2X Pro Intermediate Goalie Stick. The 2X Pro has new features from the previous generation while still making it one of the most technologically advanced sticks on the market.
Starting off towards the bottom of the Bauer Vapor 2X Pro, the blade is composed of an Asymmetrical Textreme Construction with an Aerofoam 3 core that provides dampened vibrations that creates a more comfortable feel to the goalie when making stick saves. Up on the full composite paddle, ACL technology is utilized to provide the goaltender with the most durability that can withstand high impact shots while keeping a low weight build.
Moving up to the shoulder area of the Vapor 2X Pro, Bauer has implemented a control zone composed of GRIPTAC that helps give the goaltender confident grip on the stick that helps move pucks to the corner when making saves. While it also provides superior grip in the stance, the goaltender can also easily slide their hand up to go for quick poke checks or playing the puck.
Finally up to the shaft of the Vapor 2X, a composite handle with carbon weave reinforcement helps increase the durability of the shaft by distributing the impact of shots effectively through the stick.
Compared to the Bauer Vapor X2.9 Goalie Stick, the Bauer Vapor 2X Pro will feature higher quality construction and materials throughout the build.
If you are an elite-level goaltender that is looking for the lightest weight and durable composite stick that will feel comfortable throughout use, look no further than the Bauer Vapor 2X Pro Intermediate Goalie Stick.
